BTC Bob Tedrick Construction is a family owned and operated business here in Livermore established in 2008 by CEO/President Bob Tedrick alongside his son, Vice President Rob Tedrick. With the support of his wife Donna, Bob built the BTC company from the ground up, with a foundation based on quality and integrity. Diverse general contractors, the father/son duo serve the HOA and apartment communities, as well as families and homeowners throughout the greater Bay Area offering home remodels and commercial renovations. Rob’s wife Char Tedrick jumped on board in August 2022. A fashion industry veteran with past design roles for mega retailers in alternative fashion, with NY designer Betsey Johnson, and running her own shoe brand for 5 years called Charla Tedrick, she has jumped in to support the business development and drive direction for company growth utilizing her unique skillset and past experience in brand building, brand positioning, marketing and sales. Bob’s wife Donna has remained on staff since the first day as a Humanitarian Specialist, guiding the business to reach its fullest potential. Let’s not forget the tiny Tedrick team; Max (4) and Jace (2). These youngsters wear many hats in the family business including, but not limited to spirit ambassadors, brand reps and general inspirations.
Bob has a long and deep seeded history in the construction field spanning 45 years. His journey started in new custom homes, evolving into the lucrative and competitive world of HOA/apartment community reconstruction and repairs. After many years working for the Bay Area’s leading contractors, he set out to start a company of his own, rooted in the ethics and morals he prioritizes in business and life; hard work, drive and perseverance. Rob started his construction career over two decades ago in Santa Cruz running his own handyman business and touring with his band. The father/son team united in 2008, and together have built a multimillion-dollar business.
2022 has brought a year of new beginnings for the BTC team. They are excited and optimistic about their future, having just undergone total rebranding and offering new services in home renovation and commercial remodel. “Diversifying our business to offering residential and commercial remodel services is something we’ve been talking about for some time.” Char comments on the direction of the business and back story on the shift. “The pandemic had folks spending more time at home than ever, with time to really embrace our space and identify ideals. With the rising costs of homes posing challenges to families wanting more, we’ve started looking at our space with a creative lens figuring out how to make the most out of what we’ve got. Everywhere we turn we hear about families wanting to make changes and improvements to their home but not having much luck nailing down contractors. They either never return calls or are booked out for months and months.”
Rob is well seasoned as the Director of Operations and now Vice President at BTC, a driving force towards the remodel division. “We want to make home improvement accessible and exciting for our community, offering honest and fair pricing for quality work without cutting corners. There’s not much we can’t do, and that sets us above our competitors”. BTC is a licensed General Contractor with additional licensed divisions for work orders, waterproofing and painting projects.
When the Tedrick family isn’t hard at work, they’re often spending time enjoying all that Livermore life has to offer. Bob and Donna are regular long-distance hikers, taking in the beautiful surroundings of the Tri-Valley with their yellow lab, Zoey. Aside from being business owners and active members of the community, they love to travel and visit their other adult children, Justin and Jaimey Tedrick of Austin, TX and Alyssa and Steve Branham based in Arizona. They are proud grandparents to 5 beautiful grandchildren under 5, Maxy, Lev, Jace, Neri and Freya.
When not grinding away at BTC or remodeling their own home, Rob and Char love to spend time with their family. You can spot them riding their cruiser bikes around town towing the little ones behind, shredding at the skatepark or jamming at home with their family rock n’ roll cover band in the making! They met playing in punk bands 10 years ago through the San Francisco music scene and are now enjoying their love for music while teaching their little ones!
